he’s looking quite guilty
can’t even meet my eyes
he knows my pineapple pork bun
was resting right over there
I left for just one minute but
now a sad plate remains behind
a trail of crumbs
betraying him
look at him licking his mouth
his slobber specked with bits of char siu
he’s going to crack
just wait a few minutes more
and yup his ass finally ‘fesses
with a long ugly snort
then he rolls over proud
I just can’t even
that dirty bun thief
resorting to his next trick
asking for forgiveness
with sparkling devil eyes
until I rub his furry tummy
I guess it’s time to forgive
since he can’t remember
what he just stole
another day of craziness
or as my mom would say:
狗屁不通 gou pi bu tong
dog fart not connected
