Stardust and Coffee Cups

September 23, 2026

Hi there.

Congratulations.

You have taken a moment for yourself to stop and read.

Maybe you’re standing at the subway station, sitting on the throne, or curled up on the couch. Regardless, you’re taking a minute to slow down. Good for you.

What’s more: you’re using your precious time, your precious one life here on Earth, to read these words.

So what am I, as the privileged author, going to use my one precious life, my specific skill set, to convey to you, the everyday reader?

I would use my chance to remind you that you are worth far more than you realize. Do you know that our human bodies contain the same chemical makeup as the stars? You are made of stardust!

YOU, this human being, made of skin and bones, breathing air, with all the pleasures and worries of life wrapped up inside your mind, you are made of stardust. How beautiful and magnificent is that?

Now, step outside yourself and look at the person closest to you, or if you are alone, think of the last person you spoke to—they are also made of stardust. Every single human on the planet is a vessel full of stardust. How beautiful and magnificent are they?

Even the person you disagree with the most. The one who deeply hurt you. The one who cut you off in traffic. The one who served you a meal. Or dried your tears. Or told a joke that made you laugh until your sides ached.

Every. Single. Person.

Everyone who has ever lived and ever will live.

Stardust.

Yet there is so much variety among us!

Each vessel full of stardust has their own dreams, their own unique fingerprint, their specific playlist, their preferred season, their very opinionated thoughts on sleeping temperature, right down to their very favorite coffee cup.

How utterly beautiful and magnificent!

These are the mundane things that each one of us glosses over. We get so used to the glory of humanity.

So allow this to be your reminder. Even though life has its heavier seasons and swifter pleasantries…

You exist.

You beautiful collection of stardust, dreams, tears, and coffee cups.
