Respect Is Needed Too

January 13, 2025

She sweeps in with a story

That makes you drop your jaw

Your eyes widen, you ask questions

She leaves you wanting more

It took half a day to get here

She never bothered to let you know

You make her bed and get her dinner

She doesn’t notice, you let it go

She comes home past midnight

Wakes the house up with her noise

Breaks things she didn’t pay for

And ruins dear, old toys

When she leaves the next morning

Taking things because she can

She leaves a massive mess behind

Like that was the main plan

And I know you lap it up

Because you think that she loves you

But love is not enough

Respect is needed too
