I Saw You in Orange Slices of Sunshine

October 7, 2024

So much prettier than you think you are

If I could paint a work of art

To describe the beauty you not only possess

But embody…

Framed in gold and yellow

Your voice sang to me in a hallucination

You’re exhausted

And worn down

But people rub the toes of statues

And it makes them shine

Don’t you see the way you glitter?
